Just did a little review of business and saw some numbers that tell me how busy we've been lately.

Comparing YTD to 2001 through June 1, we were -21% for orders received.

Comparing YTD to 2001 through August 7, we were -06.5% for orders received.

That translates into a lot of additional orders to do that kind of catch-up in a little over 2 months. These numbers confirm for me what I hear a lot of you saying about the amount of business out there.

So keep hammering and be careful out there. And don't forget USPAP.

Swamped is the word. I am giving my best lenders the usual turn time. But the AMC's that have called me (you know, the ones that want 72 hour turn around  ) can't belive it when I tell them that it will be at least 2 weeks before I can even think about setting an appointment.
I won't be hanging out here much for now.

I'm booked full for inspections next week and we are starting on the week after. That means 2 to 2.5 weeks turn-around time.

Yesterday when I told a lady what our turn-around was right now, she replied "We get much faster service than that down here in the Detroit area." My reply was, "I'm sure you do but I am not going to apologize for success." That has become my standard response. It usually stops the moaning about turn-around.

I like that reply! :D I am sure that I will get to use it in the morning. 8)

Must've picked up .. I even got an order from an AMC today .. all their regular number hitters must be falling behind ..

Busy here too, do you think it has anything to do with borrowers wanting to get refi'ed before we go to war?

Reading all of these post I feel like the Lone Ranger, my business has slowed down a lot in the past month. My people have refinanced so many times they are not refinancing again. Wade

More work than I can handle!!!! Not solicitating it either, it just comes. Note on phones says 12 to 14 days before we can look at it....except for VAs, of course.

USPAP instructor class next week (3 days). Also 3.5 days fishing tournament the week after. Wonder why I haven't been on the forum much????

18 assignments this week!

Mike, you'd better cancel that fishing tournament. Look at all the people you're disappointing! I logged in 12 appraisals over the last 2 days and am booked for appointments all day Saturday and until the end of next week.
