Can a trainee take comp photos

In some dense urban areas with no street parking, it takes skill and timing to stop in middle of road and take comp photos.
Driving skills and quick reaction and visual scanning for police are great attributes to be a good comp photo taker.

USPAP clearly and emphatically states in Section AB987 Subsection 3.14: a trainee shall not be permitted to take photographs of homes and flush toilets in the appraisal office.

But it also states that they can stick their finger in a light socket to see if it is functioning correctly.
