Someone changed my password to my itune account. Does anyone know if having access to my Apple account allow the hackers to get into my iPhone. These days we have so many personal info in the iPhone. I was trying to clean my iPhone back to default but the password was changed and I had limited number of chances to type the correct password. I had to go through a long difficult process with Apple support to get things right. I always wonder when one sync with PC, is there an opportunity of hackers to go from PC into my iPhone?

The problem you should worry about is keychain (stores all your passwords). If you have keychain backed up on iCloud, hacking your iCloud account gives the hacker access to whatever is stored there.

If someone changes any Apple passwords, it usually requires a two factor identification to the email or phone you've associated with the account. I'm curious how they got around that. Time to change passwords if their common to your other accounts. I got a notice from Mr. Excel's website it was hacked, so I figured out which passwords would be affected and changed the other sites that are associated. I recommend using LastPass and letting them generate random 12+ character passwords.

Back then I didn't use 2 step verification. Lot of people now still don't use 2 step verification. Companies and the media should publicize the use of 2 step verification. Once everyone uses it then criminals will find another back door.
