Has anyone heard and or seen a press release from the AI on this matter?

I am wondering, less then 24 hours, we have a statement of support from Zaio and even the ASA but nothing from the AI?

Maybe I am missing it

I would have thought in a matter that is expected to have significant impact on the appraisal field, there would have been a statement by now????

Thanks
Rock

Perhaps, before issuing a statement, they are waiting to confer with John Ross, Don Kelly and Shawn McGowan?

Has the AI ever taken a stand other than in support of current regulations? The AI does not come across as a politically pro-active organization with the best interests of its members at heart. As a non-member, it comes across as an organization with its own agenda at the expense of its membership. That is why I have not aspired to become a member. Perhaps I'm wrong. But, from the outside, this is the way it appears to me.

cwd,

No you're not wrong. From the inside many of us think the same thing.

Yes, they came out with something yesterday.

Not bad until they took the position of a protest to Cuoma because some jobs would be lost. Unfortunately they were not talking about rubber meets the road member appraiser fee assignments.

There is going to be a big lay-off of inhouse appraisers. Who have an inside shot at fee work, so no biggee.
