I was contacted via email by a U of I student about 2 months ago verifying my contact info to complete this survey. I answered his email and have heard nothing since. has anyone participated in this survey?

No. I even sent an email to him and asked the status, if he had my correct contact information, etc... No response.

I got a couple of "survey" calls from the local Community College about 8 years ago and quickly figured out they were basically trying to find a job. "Hello, I'm Jamie Student and doing a survey project for a class at the community college on employment opportunities for real estate appraisers ......." Its fun to talk to young people with skulls full of mush.

Call the U of I statstics department, tell them what you posted here, ask them if it is legit, or if you have been scammed.

I am pretty sure this was legit. Contact came soon after notification from ICAP and I believe was also in Brian's newsletter that the survey was coming. I assume U of I survey is progressing slower than I anticipated, like most things in government. Just wasn't sure if I missed the actual survey after initial contact but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Well, there was that FTC thing in LA, and now with the TRID update, the wording is kina funky, that it does not include AMC fees, but only average appraisal fees, so perhaps there is some rethinking going on, with a touch of wait -N- see what else plays out.

Haven't heard anything more since original contact. I'm guessing the survey process takes time. The email I received indicated the state sponsored the survey. Maybe there was a payment issue?
