I have always used Kodak. Our office has gone through several, probably 8-10 in the past 4 years. I want to switch over to the Secure Digital so it will work with a pocket pc. What is your opinion on the best camera for the money? And, where is the best place to buy them???

For Appraising?

Just get the cheapest. No need for high quality photos, and in case you drop it while in the field. If you're going to use it for personal also, get about anything BUT Kodak. I have a panasonic, works good and uses secure digital. Cannon is pretty good, but expensive. Sony is not worth the price. it's good because of the mavica, uses 3.5 disk. nikkon, seems ok, just looks wierd. Minolta is good.

To buy, I'd shop around around for sales. Usually one store will have each camera on sale.
