I have a FHA question about a small small subject 2br 1 ba (true age unknown) which was moved to its present location in 2005 and totaly refurbed from the studs out. Would it qualify for FHA

Manufactured or conventional construction?

MH = the deal is dead
Conventional (site built) = Should be OK

If it was/is a manufactured home, it can not be moved except from the factory or dealers lot to its final destination. If its site built, it can be moved.

THANKS its conventional.

Never heard of a "Conventional" property type. Do you mean it is not a MH?

Many houses are moved, then rehab'd or rebuilt in some fashion. As long as it is not a MH it would qualify for any type financing, if it would otherwise meet minimum property requirements.

What does it matter if it qualifies for FHA or not. Do the appraisal, meet your FHA requirements. The client is paying to "know" about the home. Appraisals are not good news only reports.

Not a good attitude if you are trying to build a practice. If you have more work than you need, why worry?

Where do they come up with this stuff? That seems just plain ssa backwards.

If you move a house that was never intended to be moved you're good to go, but if you re-move a house that was designed and intended to be moved, its unacceptable.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.
