Our office uses WinTotal, but we do comp searches in the DOS version of Appraise IT on a notebook machine in the field.

Sometimes it would be nice to do searched on the desktop machine, running XP. But every time I try to run Appraise IT I get a 'run time error R6009 - not enough space for enviroment'

I have tried adding the /e:2048 switch to specify the amount of enviroment space but no luck.

Has anyone else run into (and solved!) this problem?

Dennis,

Prior posts on the old board indicated that WinDoze's current versions could be set up to emulate prior versions .. might allow your crippled WinDoze DOS version to run an older version. Can't try it for you, as I have WinDoze2K ..

Other choice is to set up a dual-boot and install an older DOS in the second boot area. Would require rebooting to use your DOS program ..
