I recently purchased Total 2000 but having trouble sending EDI. I can send the appraisal over but the other party can't read what I sent to them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Not sure what to do.

Two things -
1. Have you paid for tech support and attempted to contact them?

2. Try creating a very simple report - just the URAR form, sign it digitally and then print it to adobe acrobat (its an option on the print, down at the lower right), save it to "my documents" file and then create an e-mail to yourself (just like a regular e-mail to anyone else) and attach the file (using the attachment option in e-mail) that you have created. This should go through, because its not having to bounce off of the wintotal server.

I know before I had broadband internet access I could not send an e-mail through that had the size file that most of my appraisals are.

If you have any further questions, you can e-mail me directly for futher help.

Good luck.

No I havn't paid for Tech support.

I will try what you suggested. Thanks for the help. I'm trying to get all the bugs out.

Hugh,

You need to give us more info on your problem.

I don't use WinTotal but from reading your post it seems that you are trying to send the lender the WinTotal appraisal file which of course they will not be able to read unless they have WinTotal. Most of them just have the free Adobe Reader

Did you print the file to PDF before emailing? You must also buy Adobe Writer/Distiller from AlaMode or any other vendor to be able to EDI the file to lenders.

If you did PDF the file, post back and we can go from there. If you didn't PDF the Win Total file, you need to do so.
