Hey, Rice...Farmers Bank in Greenwood must not be going the way of Arkansas National Bank. ANB according to one banker I know, it is just a matter of time before the FDIC closes them...maybe in days or weeks unless they can find a white knight to pump about $30 million into it.

I saw your State Rep. Slash Bank Prez. is building a new "cabin" on the hill top in town. Didja get to appraise that one, Rice?? Probably cash. I wonder what the payments would be on a 100% ARM?

I made a roundy trip thru the valley. Got My Old South fix in Russellville. Doing some oil searches and just want to beat my head on the wall.

I did not find a single mineral deed with document stamps but lots that claimed the "correct" amount was affixed.....like I believe no money changed hands. Toughest thing in the world to track down. These companies will not disclose the price period. Only if you can track down the seller and he is willing to... maybe 1 in 4 or 5 will do that.

Everyone is anxious to pass a gas severance tax but they ignore the tens of thousands of dollars in document stamps that should be affixed to deeds. Some counties DO. Some counties DON"T...go figure
