Does a log home qualify for FHA and if so are there any special considerations I should be aware of? My first log home for an FHA

FHA has no restrictions against log houses.

They are usually considered complex assignments due to the scarcity of comparables. The comps should also be log houses.

Be sure you keep distinct the difference between a log house and a house that merely has log siding.
