FHA Final inspection

Like Tim said, Compliance Inspection Report. HUD 92051

Larry,

Alamode has a new compliance inspection report (expires 10/14/2004?). I did not know I had it until I looked for the form number to answer the quesiton. So, I kept it simple and gave no form number.

Thanks for the info. I was trying to decide between the old 1987 or the 2004 form. Again Muchas Gracias!

Doug,

The others have given you the correct form number but, FHA "finals" are for FHA fee inspectors, not FHA appraisers.

Just a heads-up for you because some lenders will call the appraiser to complete a final inspection on new construction when they can't get an FHA fee inspector to get the job done in their "we needed it yesterday time frame."

Tim (Texas) gave you the right answer. Now, I'll add some information:

The difference between the 7/87 and 10/13/2004 Compliance Inspection form is that HUD, I assume, sometime in the recent past (unbeknowst to me too) changed the expiration date on the a la mode form from 7/87 to 2004 and now prints it in a delightful, meaningless, 2-page format. The second page is directions!

BUT, the real change was o/a 12-00 without fanfare (without announcement). HUD changed the date from 7/87 to 7/31/98 and to a 2-page format. I addressed this (after researching) last Spring in a Forum post). That 12-00 change had one substantive change: The top of pg 1 "Mortgagor's Name and Address" was changed to correctly read "Mortgagee's Name and Address" (after all those years of using the form that made little sense.

The 2004 date now prints out in a la mode in a 2-page format unless you unmark the page 2 for printing. What a screw-up. The a la mode 2004 page 2 of same hasn't been proofread by a la mode because there's one major typo at the top of the page therein. (Oh well... I didn't proofread the rest of the page, either.)

FOR A LA MODE USERS: Switch to the 2004 version only because it has the new expiration date on it. (This form is immediately following the old one.) No text has been changed. Then remember to unmark page 2 EVERY TIME you go to print. Well, I suspose for EDI you can leave it in -- that's if you're charging by the page! [Smiley goes here]
