Does a FHA appraisal of a condo also require photos of both sides of the unit? I know a SFR does, but since the other sides may be actually adjoining units do I include them as well. Also when including photos of the common areas, how many do I need? I read over the handbood and it is either not mentioned or I just missed it. thanks

pdf ink and digital film are free. Why not show off your skills?

I ALWAYS give FHA a photo of both sides of interior rows. :flowers:
The photo always looks the same/
It's a large red circle with a slash across it, and the words
"No Photo Possible" at the bottom.

Logically, since the Condo unit STOPS long before the skin of the structure, all exterior photos should be unnecessary.
Somehow they do want photos of the structure though

Get creative! I have actually punched a hole in the wall, and then waived the fee for C2C. But you know what?? I got my photo.

Yes. I will often use a photo of the rear of the building if I can't get just the unit itself.

Riick, surely you're jesting. Because if the HOA is poorly maintained and the exterior is in complete dissrepair, it's fine as the unit is still spiffy? Come on. Put the required photos in there. I wonder how may appraisers "cloned" a picture from archives after the last major Los Angeles earthquake and never shot actual pictures of their Subject.
It might take me longer, but I sleep without worries.

Just take the photos.

I sleep very well thank you.
That was a joke son, ...a joke I say.
Interior brick row home
brick to the left of you (party-wall),
brick to the right (party-wall),
brick in front,
brick in rear.
Unless I tore down the house, no WAY to see the sides. :icon_idea:

You see, around where I live & work, mainly, there ain't no HOA for ROW HOMES; they is "Fee Simple", they own their own land, and a large one might have a 20' x 170' lot.
Lots of them were built back to before Texas was a State <LOL>
Have a look HERE --or-- HERE2 tos see what I mean by a row home
OH yes... here is what I mean by a party-wall LINK
