I just completed an FHA report about one week ago. The lender wants it changed to a conventional report. Comments please, thanks

New scope of work, new assignment, new effective date, fee is up to you.

Just treat it as a new assignment since the intended use, intended user(s), and scope of work have changed. Shouldn't take too long and I'd charge half the fee again.

Larry : Understand that the word CHANGE has more than one meaning!! Coming from a mortgage broker it means sit at your desk, change the report to whatever they want it to be, and do it for free if you want more orders from me. To an appraiser the word CHANGE in many instances means NEW ASSIGNMENT, new scope of work, pay me first before I deliver your request!!!!!

What the heck is so mucked up about an FHA appraisal that they just can't go ahead and use it for a conventional loan?

They most likely want you to remove the MPR items and don't mention any cosmetic items either.

Completed conventional loan appraisal about 1 month ago. Now the client wants me to change to FHA. Reinspect? New assignment? New Report? New fee correct?

GTM: Yes to all your questions!
