What they really care about is overvaluations of around 20% or more.

They don't have access to any MLS but have public records so if you are going to file a complaint make sure to provide the MLS for all comparable listings closed sales etc that they might need.

If you put your name on the complaint it will be revealed in the course of the appraisal hearings. You can file a complaint without your name on the complaint; just make sure you provide any MLS listings the OREA may need in the complaint.

It is just me or does anyone else find it unbelievable the OREA doesn't have access to the MLS. What are they using are fees for?

According to the director, they have so much money available that they can afford to "loan" some of it to the general fund for Arnie to dispurse as needed.

Are you serious?

Why isn't there better enforement? OR why don't they lower our licensing fees? Very unfair.

Hey RB...it appears they have the same mentality or even better yet, the same people where you and I use to work. The answer to "why" is "because we can" or "because we don't have to".
