I think his firing comes from the perception that the players seem to turn it on and off when they wish. Then in the long run it catches up with them, they do seem to lose focus at times. It is easier to blame the coach than the players.

They should give Izzo from Michigan State an offer he can not refuse, I think he would do well. Besides that, I wouldn't be surprised to see them end up with Avery Johnson, the coach Dallas just fired.
