Flood Insurance Program to Lapse (thanks to congress....)

The renewal and retroactive application of this program is on the short list for Congress when it comes back in January. This, like unemployment benefits, is a program that got caught in politics ("No, we ain't doin' nuthin'! It might help our opponent if we do sumpn'.")

Agreed, renewal will probly happen posthaste after reconvening for the new term.

Retroactive I wouldn't want to place money on... can you imagine if as the article points out a flood occurrs Jan 3? 8O

Even if applied seamlessly can you IMAGINE the resultant paperwork :roll:
