Hey all, hoping you can help me. Normally, I have more CE than I need and have never really paid attention to how many hours I need. This cycle, I know that I am short. However, this cycle they have also changed some stuff at FREAB with the madatory new class on supervisory appraisers. So, can someone tell me, what is the breakdown of hours, 7hr USPAP, 3hour FL law update, whatever hour supervisor class, how many hours of actual CE class do we need.

Also, there is a class i took maybe 4 or 5 years ago that has been changed and updated. Is there a rule on repeating a class?

Thanks

I can't answer your question, but have one of my own. (Can u say nosy?) Does everyone in FL have to take the supervisors class, or only if you have trainees?

7 hour USPAP, 3 hour law update, 3 hour roles and responsibilities course (course for supervising trainees), all are mandatory.

I took 7 hrs USPAP, 8 hrs law update, and 15 hrs of elective. www.stevewilliamson.com that site will break down what is needed. The 3 live classes is what will satisfy the CE requirements.

Everyone is required to take the supervisor's CE course.

The requirements are as follows for certified and licensed appraisers

7 hour USPAP update
3 hour Florida Law Update
3 hour Role of the Supervisor
17 hour of speciality education

I don't know if this is the right answer....but I don't see why you can not repeat. Afterall, we repeat USPAP and all that every time.

Thanks everyone. I looked at their website, but could not find the breakdown anywhere.

Hi All!
According to our records, Florida Appraisers need 30 hrs total, including 7 hr USPAP, 3 hr FL Law and 3 hr FL Supervisor/Trainee course

There is no rule on repetition of courses in consecutive renewals.
Thanks!
