Florida Contuing Ed Online...Status??

Haven't heard anything about the continuing education online thing...thought something was supposed to be approved in February. Any clue anyone? I'd like to get signed up for a class before space is all gone.

We've been assured the Rule will be FINAL on April 1, 2002. Of course, we've been assured of dates before also. This time it appears to be true.

Providers must have their courses approved by the FREAB prior to offering.

with your inquiries. This has been an ongoing project for nearly two years and I'm out of answers as to why things take so dang long.

I'm just worried I'll wait until May on the online class and find out it's not going to happen...and then won't have a spot in a real-in-person class.

Kathy and Florida Appraisers,

We learned yesterday the rule permitting licensees to complete continuing education via Distance Learning became final March 29, 2002. Several providers have submitted courses for approval, but to my knowledge, none have gained made it through the process at the Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

Hopefully, Florida Appraisers will have several to choose from within the next few weeks.

Yippee! My children (and my babysitting sister) thank you!! Online education is a wonderful thing for parents of small children and it will lift so much of the burden of being away from home for three days.
