Being continually exasperated by bad appraisers, incompetant UA's and gov't boards, and cads in the business, I take pause with this quote attributed to the author James Baldwin, as published in the Charleston WVA Gazette:

"The price one pays for pursuing any profession or calling, is an intimate knowledge of its ugly side"

So it goes...

If you can stand being a doormat - with everyone's else's crap comming down on U on a dailey basis, work for yourself

If ya can't stand the heat, go work for someone who will reward you for your many years of hard work & toil :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

It strikes me as relative realism.

One has to balance their ability to take as well as to give. This is a thick-skin business, for sure.

But I simply refuse to get angry no matter what the situation. I dismiss those who don't respect me or my integrity as being uninformed or not worth informing. That usually keeps them from pursuing a business relationship.

An easier way, of course, is to quote a high price, then throw in the L'oreal argument!

Am doing quite well, thank you.
