Saying things like "wall street never understood housing" makes us look stupid. Being pro appraiser is fine but her responses come off as combative and biased. Not objective. Should be #LoriNobleAnswers, not #AppraiserAnswers.

How so? Wall street created the mortgage backed security and concentrated interlocking "safeguards" using one MBS to insure another. But when it went down like dominoes, well...who got the blame? And who now wants to use BPO's to back securities? We were blamed and Wall Street doesn't want appraisals to interfere with their money making defalcations.

The #1 thing appraisers need to understand is that we have big internal problems that need to be addressed. Pointing fingers at the press, GSE's, and wall street does nothing.

Tell you the truth probably too late to fix. All the money in the valuation business going full speed in other directions.

“I am confident in saying that Wall Street has never understood housing.”

Good point. Wall Street sees housing as a commodity or as an asset. It doesn’t see housing as the resource it truly is for millions of people.

Yep, that is a pretty good summary of essentially what she said in the interview although you left out one thing....in addition to the AMC's not knowing sht, they don't pay sht.

Nobody who matters is going to care one bit about any of it...it will be just dismissed as the rambings of another whining appraiser who has no constructive ideas and just wants to protect their own turf
