I only attended Monday but heard about Tuesday.

About 25% of the cases heard on Tuesday resulted in Revocation or multiyear suspension. This means about a dozen bad apples are gone.

well-making money while I could...sigh. Never know when the next order's coming when you don't have a rep as a skippy, ya know?

Sorry - I'm in a crazy mess trying to get a house ready for the market about 3 months earlier than I planned......and trying to close the sale on a new one at the same time.....and, shockingly, doing a couple of appraisals.

Any interesting items beside the naughty people?

I'm hearing rumors of some VERY interesting happenings there and would love a good summary.

I did not attend but got the following report from a freind who was there Monday.

There was a convicted criminal looking to get a Trainee's license. The Judge wrote some kind of letter that pretty much tied the hands of the board and they were forces to approve him.

There we others that tried but, without Judge's letters, they were rejected. Whew!

Like Mortgage Brokers, how many 100's of Appraisers are convicted Felons?

<sigh...>

Let me clarify the "judges letter"

There was an applicant who took his application to a DOA law hearing and the judge RULED that he was OK. The judge felt enough time had elapsed given the nature of the crime. I do not know the crime. That ruling effectively meant that FREAB had to approve the application.
