Let see CT. the Capital of Insurance The Hub of the top Insurance Companies in the world. At least one of the top 5 will be bought up or go under within the next 6 to 12 months. Estimated to effect 12,000 + people in the Insurance Industry Most living in CT One of the most highest paying jobs in CT. My personnal opinion I think it will have some impact on the price of homes in CT.

What more do you need to know?

While it is true that housing cycles tend to be localized events (more or less), national trends influence local happenings and local events influence national trends too. As appraisers, we ought to be pretty well tuned into our market areas and have a basic grasp of local residential economics. Unfortunately, some of us don't and fall prey to that sort of "feel good" clap-trap.
