Would anyone like to provide a brief article on something related to the appraisal profession? This is quite serious, and I would like such an article to be so, as well. Maybe your view on the profession. Maybe some special information and knowledge you gained and can help others with. Maybe something that could help consumers understand the process. It's up to you.
I would like to publish this as a news article, with yourself as the author, of course.
I think it can be quite interesteing as well as something that can bring us all a little closer if we "common folk" appraisers were given the opportunity to be heard. I was thinking of taking an article per week from various appraisers. Some I am going to try to push to get national paper publishing, since I am sure many of you have some interesting knowledge or viewpoints that warrant such. And it is quite a promotional tool for the author to be able to state they have been "published" (I know of a commercial appraiser who self-publishes an article on a particualr type of appraisal assignment that he knows is up for bid just so he can say "I wrote about it and am an authority on that type of property appraisal" even when he had never done one before).
Along with your article, please include a summary of yourself that can be included in the article and you receive proper credit.
