Head of Fan and Fred wants Powell out

Yes, they are. ⛽ As of July 2025, the national average gas price is around $3.13 per gallon, which is down about 36 to 37 cents compared to July 2024. That’s nearly a 10% drop year-over-year, and it marks the lowest summer level since 2021.

Here’s a quick breakdown:

  • July 2024 average: ~$3.49/gal
  • July 2025 average: ~$3.13/gal
  • Lowest state average: Mississippi at $2.71/gal
  • Highest state average: California at $4.33/gal

The drop is largely due to:

  • Increased oil production from OPEC
  • Easing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East
  • Slower global economic growth reducing demand
  • A relatively quiet hurricane season so far

If things stay stable, analysts say we might even see prices dip below $3 per gallon later this summer. Want to dig into how this compares to historical trends or what it means for inflation?
You haven't seen impacts of tariffs yet. I won't get into fracking for your pleasure.

The point at moment is inflation is up since last month and tariffs supposedly go into impact August 1st. Who knows with Trump? He may backtrack again.

I have posted time and time again Powell is just a figure head. He has people way younger and wiser than him telling Powell what to do.

BTW, Trump appointed Powell.

Do you like eating crow Trump?

It Will Take More Than Low Interest Rates To Make Houses Affordable

Not only is Pulte wrong that falling mortgage rates necessarily make homeownership more affordable, he is also probably wrong that the Fed can reduce those rates by targeting a lower policy rate...

... incomes have to match expenses ... prices have to come down :ROFLMAO:

Real Estate market in Silicon Valley seems to be healthy regardless of mortgage rates for past few years.
