Does anyone know what the codes are in regards to a heater in Los Angeles, CA? The property has portable heaters that plug in to the wall and are screwed into the floorboards. I do not think that is legal. Please help. Thank you

Perhaps a call to the city building code department may be in order. I suspect they would be more helpful about the nuances of their city codes.

Call the City and ask what the code is.

Please post your SOW, intended use, and the intended users. These three things are needed to answer almost all questions from real estate appraisers regarding appraisal situations.

If you are concerned with financing FannieMae rules require a permanently installed heating source in areas where a heating system is required. one cheap way to meet the requirement is by installing hard wired electric baseboard units.
