Just saw this 2 week old ad in craigslist.

We are looking for appraisers willing to accept split-fee assignments.

Yes, the fees are somewhat low – but YOU WILL NEVER BE ASKED TO HIT A VALUE. We want a fair appraisal.

ACI/Lighthouse – preferred but not required.

Location: Portland & Surrounding Area
Compensation: $100-$125 for Drive-bys, $150-$175 for Fulls, $75-$100 for reviews, $250-275 for 1025's.

exactly what Lenders are promoting; get the appraiser to cut his own throat. They don't even have to work at it.

Just the "Liability" factor alone won't compensate; ifn ya own any "personal property" sign on, they're lookin for suckers, so they can harvest the gold later.
