Has anyone tried HomePuter?

Used it for many years when I first started. Excellent value for the money. I use Alamode now and am happy, but have fond memories of Homeputer.

When I was slowing changing from dos to windows I purchased Homeputer for the remaining forms that I didn't want to buy. You cannot beat the price. I still use it as a backup.

What were the advantages of the programs you switched to? Why did you switch?

Homeputer:

I have the FPS 78 version with the FPS 88 upgrade and really like it.

I find that it has everything you need to do a complete appraisal report and it also has all the latest forms that you need.

The price is only $ 150.00 dollars which is the best bargain in the whole software business.

Every time I have ever had a question about the software I just send them an e-mail and with in one hour I had my answer.

There are many software programs on the market and most cost between $ 750.00 and $ 1,000 dollars and then they want you to but their either gold or silver package of tech support.

I like Homeputer and I also like the service they provide at no extra cost if you need it.

I used it many years ago, and I'm buying it again today. My United Systems drawing program (Winsketch) died, the author can't fix it and wants me to buy a new one for $150 +- PLUS $25 for the privelege of downloading it! It's an awful looking, difficult to use program, but it's NEW so the old one can't be worth fixing. Even though the date on it is 2003, it's too old to fix.

I've been paying $500 a year to US for support, which I rarely needed, so off I go to get Homeputer again (no charge for the download).

I've used ACI and Wintotal regularly as a trainee. When I went out on my own, I ordered Homeputer because of it being cost effective. I took advantage of the 30 day trial and returned it after producing two reports. They have great customer support as my questions were always answered within an hour. It has everyting you need to produce a report, however you get what you pay for. Takes much longer to produce a report then it does with other softwares. Does not hurt to give it a trial though.

Also I suggest NCV Software for $75. www.ncvsoftware.com. I've only used it a few times and it's a little buggy, but I feel it's much better then Homeputer. NCV also has very good customer support...
