Over the past 2 weeks, I've received orders to do appraisals on one 40 acre parcel and two 80 acre parcels. Last weekend, we received between 15 and 18 inches of snow in the area. Now I have to inspect these puppies.

My question is this: How did these people find out that I got a new pair of snowshoes for Christmas?

What I want to know is how does Data Quick know which properties I will receive orders for six months from now??? Data Quick is the only reporting service for my county and it lacks data on the improvements because their computer can only handle one structure per parcel. Their data is also six months out of date for ownership, one year out of date for splits in legal descriptions and two years out of date for improvements. Any way, when I receive an order I do a search on Data Quick to find the assessor's parcel number so I can go to the court hosue and do my real research. I won't be able to find my subject parcel. The assessor's parcel numbers before and after my parcel will be there but not the parcel I need! They will have info for parcel numbers 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, etc. Guess what, my subject is #4--how did Data Quick know that six months ago????
