Still getting my two to four RE orders a week, which is enough for my rural area. Things are too spread out and not getting orders so I can route them together.
Maybe like this week, I gotten two 1004 RE, one divorce with PP/Equine, one finial with new value. That will keep me happy through next monday or so.
In addition we are biddiing two REO Preservation clean outs and board ups, two yard mowings, three auction sign removels.
Then we have orders for 12 cords of wood to be delivered. One fencing job that will take a week to complete and two additional fencing project to bid.
Then I am getting "Meat N Taters" open up by the weekend. Finished putting up hay at the ranch and getting ready for the next cutting to start this coming week.
Getting ready for our Sept and Oct Auctions.
Unloaded hay trailer at home place last night at 9 p.m. have one more load to bring in for the winter. Need to get L.P. tanks filled for the winter, need to get my four cords of wood for the winter ready, Need to get new roof on house for the winter. Need to get shop squared away for my Pastors race car and releated racing equipment, tools and parts as he is now using my shop for a home for his racing operation. Got to wash down side of home, barns, garden shed and shop buildings before winter. Gutters have all been cleaned last week. Got to refinish rear deck.
So I guess you could say it is a bit busy around here but not like they use to be as I have cut back to a five day week instead of six and a half. RE Appraisal is taking a second place in the business operation for the simple fact there are not enough orders to keep busy and make a nice return of investment and a return on investment. When I can start charging $700 to $800 for a rural 1004 and $800 to $1200 for a field review then appraising will be come a profit center again. Now it just sort of limps along as a marketing tool for my other business interest.
No brag, just fact. Got to keep going to pay the bills.
