I recently purchased a HP 2000c printer used, from a reseller on eBay. I am having trouble with a "Printheads Obstructed" message. The printer won't even pull in a page to print.

I followed the troubleshooting suggestions, but nothing seems to work. Printer does not appear to have any kind of a jam. I have also tried to make sure the printheads are secured properly as well. Any help would be appreciated.

I contacted both the seller and Hewlett Packard, but I don't expect to get an answer within a day or 2 or 3 from either of them. I guess this is the chance you take when you buy online used. (Seller also didn't mention that no power cable was included with the purchase- I am using my old HP printer's cable currently)

I'll get this thing working eventually, it looks like I will have to overcome some annoyances first. I suppose I will take it to a local repair shop if necessary (oops, there goes my savings off the auction price). Thanks.

Doug

Did you pay through a third party like Pay Pal? If you did, contact them. Most of these middle-men have satisfaction policies that must be met before they will hand the money over to the seller. If you didn't, you may have to chalk it up as a lesson learned.

Doug, have never had a problem with HP support-if you didn't get them right away, check some other sources for contact, I never waited more than 1 hour for a return call from them :)

PS: unless it's a 5 yrear old machine, printheads are more then likely not the problem-have never replaced a printhead yet (4th year) 8)

Good Luck
