Finally.

I quit smoking. 1 month now. Amazing difference in sleep, taste, smell and overall well being.

Using a vape thingy but at least the cigs are gone. Will work the nicotine level down in the vape stuff until that goes away too.

A word of advice, as soon as you kick the smoke, put down the vape. Yes, you can ease the nicotine levels down but truly, you need to just get to zero/none as fast as possible. I quit smoking like that and the vape worked like a charm. Problem was, I did not try to quit the vape fast enough and soon became just as addicted to it. Then I tried to chew because, you know, chew is so absolutely disgusting there was no way I would continue that right? Wrong. Didn't take but a few weeks and I fell in love with chew. Then I got frustrated and for a while was vaping, chewing and smoking!!! I put the vape down and now I smoke and chew. Having a chew as I write this. Nicotine is a *****. I think I am more addicted today than I ever have been. Stick with quitting and don't give up!!! Good luck!

I am going to quit again soon. I have analyzed the whole damn thing nine times sideways and have realized my Achilles heel is drinking. Not that I am much of a drinker, but I do like to tie one on occasionally and smoking goes hand in hand with drinking for me, especially after I lose my reasoning. So, when I quit smoking this next round, I am going to quit drinking for a spell too - probably a year or so.

I quit almost 3 years ago. Still on the vape with 3 mg nicotine. I don't guess it's good for you, but way better than cigs.

I quit 4 years ago in July. I used the vape stick, and over the course of a year tapered down to 0. I stayed at 0 for a while then started losing interest. I'd forget to pick it up in the morning and not even think about it till the afternoon. Its still around somewhere, but I really couldn't tell you where, My brother quit the same way a year or so before me. It feels good not to hack up that crap in the morning and be able to walk out to the mailbox without losing my breath. Lee, keep reducing the nicotine when you make the final transition you wont have any cravings. Smooth sailing.

Congratulations! 15 years for me. 3 packs a day Marlboro reds. Cold turkey at the request of my children on Christmas day.

Congratulations. Smoking for 40 years (10 cents a pack in the military made it easy), I quit 13 years and 5 months ago. It wasn't easy, but sure worth it, health wise and I'm sure financially.
