Does any one remember all the hubbub about Interpraise and some quickie form they were pushing? Seems like I remember something about their form having USPAP issues.

Anyway saw that the company was purchased by the same Canada company that is trying to purchase the ACI division of Polaroid.

I'll try to find some more info on this and post it here. Just made me curious as to the future connection between the companies. :?:

Chaz - Interprase made a presentation to us at our ACLB Board meeting early last year. There were some serious concerns regarding USPAP compliance of their product at that time but I told 'em that I'd be willing to do a few just to see what they were and where they came up short. I did one and actually got paid for it (about 10% of an appropriate fee!). There were some serious issues with their product and I don't know if they ever worked them out or not. Never heard from them again.

The article you reference includes more high tech buzz words and gobblygook than I remember ever seeing before in any one place! It looks to me like someone is trying to plump up some penny stock for a grab.

Just my pov, Oregon Doug

I went throught the Interpraise stuff last year. The USPAP issue was primarily centered on signatures. Seems they wanted the appraiser to put his/her digital signature on file with them!

No thanks! I'll stick to compying with USPAP.

If you visit the Appareo website, www.appareo.com, you'll notice that there is no reference to the Interpraise acquisition. While the two companies had a number of discussions, Appareo did not acquire Interpraise.

I hope that helps.
