Got a real kick out of this. Been radio ads running for months now for these wealth building seminars, you go for free and can then sign up for the special $6000 package. Reading through the testimonials of past students couldn't find anyone local, but of their six expert bios listed, two were local. Here they are.

49, Married with three children was born, raised, and educated in Columbus Ohio . A sales and marketing specialist, XXXXX has excelled in the automotive, software, and mortgage industries for the past 25 years. For the past 10 years XXXXX has been working in the real estate investment field participating in over 1000 transactions. His expertise in the areas of acquisition, rehab and exit strategies place him in high demand as a coach and mentor, and has made him an invaluable member of zzz XXXXX’s Wealth Builder’s team.

Now the Truth....

This guys name is not very common, pull up his name at Franklin and Delaware County Recorder's office, all you find is recent court cancelled mortgages and foreclosures.

The next guy

52, Married and resident of Delaware County . In addition to being a licensed realtor XXXX is graduate of the University of Colorado with degrees in both Finance and International Business. His extensive knowledge in the banking and mortgage fields make him a highly sought after coach and consultant. He excels in mentoring and helping others achieve their goals and dreams.

Couldn't find much as to purchasing properties for this guy, however he did get his Real Estate License in 2005, was involved in five sales through MLS and is no longer active, appears he sent his license back to the State.

Oh boy, these are the experts?:rof:

The same kind of "experts" who email and call me trying to help me earn more in my real estate and contracting biz by "working smarter not harder, through leveraging ". :icon_rolleyes:
Up against credentials like that, my 18 years of RE business and profitable investments without one single loss, much less a foreclosure, seem insignificant. :)

Carlton Sheets is my favorite and remember the Rice Brothers. We get lots of infomercials here in Cali for the no money down investment properties. Still can't figure out from the testimonials how they get all that cash back at closing or how you don't have to any money to get started??? Apparently they are giving properties away (somewhere) and they have so many that millions of people can't lose. I would think those days are over, however, the advertisements claim now is the time. So who are the lenders? More importantly who are the appraisers.

I always wonder why, if they know the way to making lots of money that they don't keep that secret to themselves.

Must be that their real secret to making lots of money is selling "their secret to making lots of money"

I know of a MB who did a dozen properties (smartest guy in the room-type)
who lost all of them, along with his own personal residence.

Also, a Investment guru from LA bought just 4 properties in my market and
word is he's hurting bad, real bad.

Easy come, easy go.
