My wife is working with FEMA in Bartholomew County, Indiana and she needs to be able to pull up tax records on home owners. Does anyone know of a free web-site that she can access?

If those links don't provide what you need, I can physically get copies. I live in Johnson County adjacent to the north of Bartholomew. PM me if you need to go this route.

You can call the assessor in that county and ask. Sometimes their sites have roundabout access.

That may or may not work. If you only need one, then maybe so, but if multiple they could say come in to get them. I know Shelby County, to the east of me, will not give any information. They say it is all available from the MLS. (Which it sorta is.) I simply always stop in and get the printed copy.

Maybe I've written something confusing. If an assessor has website that is searchable, he or she will tell tell you. I have worked in Shelbyville, and I have had them be very helpful over the phone. I was not researching data for which I would need a website, though, so I don't know if they have one.

Ah, and I see where I mis-interpreted your post. I thought you were suggesting calling the assessor to get a basic verbal version of the property record card. As to Shelby County, they may have changed policies, I haven't bothered to call them in a few years since I just stop in.

Thanks for all of your help so far. I had already found the web-site posted and they were of no help. I guess I will call the tax office tomorrow to see what they have available that I can't find online.

Thanks again,

Scott
