If consumers would check all the closing costs, many of these mortgage outfits are far more expensive in the long run than conventional lenders and with so few people really keeping a single loan for 15 or 30 years...it does not take a lot of add on fees to make a loan pretty expensive considering the average life of a loan is only 3 years or so.
