Does anyone have a copy of Appraisal Institute's big 'ol textbook: The Appraisal of Real Estate that they no longer want or use? I would like to buy a used edition. The new edition is a bit pricey considering how tight things are right now. If not perhaps you may have a suggestion on where to look as well... Amazon? etc?

Thank you,

Chuck

I noticed there's many copies on sale at half.com. Be careful, though. There are many editions around; the just-released revision is the thirteenth edition. I've got them going back to when I started; I believe that would be the eighth edition.

Back in the day, that book started with the line: "Under all is the land...". I liked the biblical sound of that, but it's been awhile since it started that way. I noticed not long ago when looking for materials on condo hotels that the Spanish edition of The Appraisal Of Real Estate had a lower price. Now why would that cost less?

I liked the 9th edition better than the 12th although things have changed since either.
