hi;
i am new to the group but i am finding a wealth of information. i have been a senior accountant in privately held real estate investment entities for the last 20 years. i passed the CPA exam 25 years ago but i have not practiced as a CPA since 1985 such that the certification does not really portray my expertise. can i obtain a license or a certificate by just passing the test?
thanks

no. Requires 2500 plus/minus hours of vetted experience and in most states under a supervisor. It is known as the starving years and can rarely be done in less than 2 years...plus you must take a core of tested hours education.
