There may be some Las Vegas fans on here but I am not one of them.
It is a phony town filled with phony people. It is hot which I really didn't mind too much till you looked at the trash.
I will say that once they decide they want to embrace a project ( the race track comes to mind ) they do it.
Oh! And cheap buffets.
Other than that I cannot think of a single redeeming quality.
A quick Google search located a very recent WSJ articles that seems to indicate that the market in LV is improving due to a shortage of volume but that pending foreclosures are still prevalent in many market segments.
Per a couple of other news articles, there are thousands of LV homes that should be in foreclosure and/or on the REO market right now that are in limbo because of some sort of bizarre state legislation that impedes foreclosure proceedings.
Because these homes are not on the market, the demand is currently far exceeding supply and developers are building new subdivisions.
So, if you're in to REO work and new construction, Las Vegas might be a good place for you for the next couple of years. :icon_mrgreen:
