This unsolicited fax just in.....We're from LSI and were just here
to help you.

LSI 6/6/08 Service Bulletin
....
The Code of Conduct! The Biggest Industry Change since FIRREA!

Appraisers seem to be in denial. You need to prepare for the new paradigm.

Are you aware of the ways it will affect your business? The good news is, after all these years, your independence from the pressure from mortgage brokers is assured. The bad news is mortgage brokers will not be placing orders with you directly. Your orders will come from management companies, banks, and mortgage sources directly.

I will be speaking on the Code of Conduct impact on appraisers at the Appraiser Independence Seminar to be held on June 16 in Charlotte.

--and you get a $60 discount if you use the word VANN.

I think it's hilarious someone from LSI is going to speak at an Appraiser Independence Seminar. It's like letting a child molester give the kindergarden graduation speach.

Or Al Capone asking everyone to call 1-800-ACAPONE when they witness bootlegging or gambling!

Oh good. Then we just cut to the chase. Becuase there are too many appraisers you will earn $150 for a full 1004 and LIKE IT! Right, Mr. Vann?

I really do wonder why so many with vested interests are so
affraid of HVCC? Let's give it a try. We can always scream
and yell we hate it, but I doubt it will be worse than the
system we currently have.

Maybe I'm just too naive by being in this business for 25 years and
see it run into the ground by regulators who care more putting appraisers
in a small, restricted box and letting everyone else end-run the valuation
function.

Are you kidding? They think that they are going to still demand 24 hour turntimes...low fees.....and provide AVM's to clients. Down with HVCC. I think the AMC's can exist but the should not be able to markup appraisal fees. They assume no liability and do not sign the report.

So true.....There chief appraiser keeps asking for more and more work and thinks this is okay with 24 hour turn times.

When will LSI graduate to e-mails? Faxes are so 1970's.

Maybe the law should be ....LSI charge a management fee instead of marking up appraisal fees.
