We had inspected a property that did not have the data plates on the interior. They did however have one kinda beat up plate to the exterior. Took those numbers, and crawled under in crawl space to around 4th steel cross beam from rear to find stamped serial #. Was able to find, off of the first letters of the exterior plate, the inspection co. Gave serial # to find all info available. This seemed to work with the lender to verify info needed on appraisal report.
