Inspired by an article in Appraisal Buzz, written by Jack Schoppa, I.F.A.S., I am doing research with the intent and purpose of writing either a text or seminar on the subject. I am looking for proven cases where there has been any effect on market value of any type of property.
Background:
I have been teaching a course "The Appraisers Role in Environmental Contamination" as laid out in AO-9 of USPAP for over 7 years. I have also served on the E-50 Environmental Committee that wrote the standards of practice for a Phase I & a Phas II site assessment. I am or will develop this text or seminar in compliance with AO-9 as well.
If you are interested in Jack's article it can be found at:
www.northtexasproperties.com
I will, with jack's permission, use that and other material in what I write and eventually teach.
BTW, I have heard all the stories about how this is another lawyer scheme to make money or circumvent some state laws. Please save that for debate on the forum. What I need is data. I can be reached at:

Thanks,
