I don't see how NAR can hang on to their position as long as so many brokerages include doing mortgages. IF brokerages would get out of mortgages, they would be able to beat this.

I agree, but most people want their cake and -- you know the rest.

It might actually be better for the consume. Considering that real estate commission is typically the largest expense for a seller (6-7%).

If banks can offer this service for less, then why not?
