I dig the envelope house idea. Would want to for sure walk thru one.

Did this house go the full distance where no metal is touching house? As in those lights, is there a non-heat conductive medium between the exterior lights base and the wall?

basically its a house within a shell. the first 8 feet of the front of the house are essentially enclosed porches. the sides and rear only have a 1 foot buffer so you lose a decent amount of GLA.

I did one in the early 90's for the RTC. Supposed to be environmentally friendly and need littl heat and AC. Did not work. After it was foreclosed the buyer spent $25,000 putting in AC and a heat source. And, in the early 90's that was a lot of money.
