Per Jeff Bradford the name of their company has been Bradford Technologies for about 4 years, they no longer use the Bradford-Robbins name. So the name of the user group has been changed to Bradford Technologies.

Wayne:

 Whew. How knowledgeable is this moderator?? Thanks for changing the name, apologies to you and to Jeff @ BRADFORD TECHNOLOGIES (Inc.). And to think I'm the guy that sent in the correction of the misspelled word "technologies" on the bottom of the form a few years ago.

Wayne / Jeff Bradford:

OK OK, no "Inc." either. This company gets better all the time. A sole proprietor with a great product. So now that we ALL understand who we are trying to discuss.......let's get come inquiry posts going so this group can accomplish something.

Doug,

I kind of think this will be a dead forum as the product is very good, it is very intuitive to use and has no real problems to discuss. I've gotten 4 guys to switch to Toolbox so far and a fifth is abandoning Total this week when his support contract runs out.

All Bradford needs to do to create more market share is to offer the Toolbox product at a competitive upgrade or support contract price similar to the old Word and Wordperfect wars ages ago. You know, show me your Total CD and you get Toolbox for say $199 or whatever the annual support contract costs.

Ben, if you went to the Toolbox forum at Yahoo, sponsered by Bradford, you wouldn't think it was a dead forum. We cover everything from fishing and appraising in the Florida keys, to new data sources, and we can make recommendations for changes right to Toolbox from the forum and get information back the same or next day. Try it we have 20 to 30 messages per day on the average.

Jim, I suppose now I will have to stay with Bradford@Yahoo and this forum also. You are correct, I have had a problem from time to time and have help the same day. I did not know about this forum until yesterday, it will succeed because we have problems and I can get help from the forum faster that the tech support. (we do not have to delete messages either.) Can someone tell me how to change an embedded name inside Appraiser's Tool Box....when your company name changes.

Thanks,

Charlie

Charlie: If you're using Toolbox (and not Clickforms) you'll have to contact Bradford and get a new registration unlocking code to change the name.

Charlie

I have not tried changing the name in Toolbox but did have to change my address and the way it was done was to go to "file", "registration", and then made the changes. Doing that did not involve anything at Bradford but they are the ones that told me how to do it. Might have had to reboot after changes, not sure.

As I recollect .. simply changed name at the top of each template and re-recorded template. Didn't effect anything else, and didn't change the registration page ..
