I am trying to draw a large, odd shaped pool and cannot get the curves properties dialog box to pop up.

I have never used it because when I press F7 or use the mouse to select "curves", nothing happens.

I have always had to draw my curves a small section at a time from the little button on the top right section of the screen but it is not adequate for this pool.

There must be something that I am or am not doing that is causing this not to work as described in the manual.

Also, not related but does anyone know what the "ortho" button does at the top of the screen.

Thanks

Why does the pool drwawing have to be so exact? Is there a great deal of buyer reaction from one pool design to another? Does your client require an exact drawing of the pool? I would just indicate where the pool was, describe it, and leave it alone at that.

After clicking on F7 you get a dialog box. Select your angle, left or right, click Alt O (for OK), it will take you back to the screen then do so many feet to the right or left, then so many feet up or down (just like doing the angles of a bay window), and a curve will appear, which you can change if you wish. Do you have the latest version 2.4.600.1?

Just wanted to thank Jo Ann and Tim for the advice. The manual was not very clear to me but I followed your advice and am now able to draw those curves when needed. Now I can handle those curved stairways etc. Thanks again for your tutoring.
