I recently bought a new laptop and transferred a lot of my software (not Act! however)to it using lap link transfer software. When I went to install Act! and entered my reg. number it would not accept it. What I think happened was that during the main transfer with lap link it transferred some files to the computer and when I try to register it, it thinks its an unauthorized installation. I've tried everything you can think of to fix but no luck. Has anybody else had this problem witht he Act! software. My warranty has run out and Sage software wants to charge me an arm and a leg to troubleshoot, or buy their new version, which I don't want to do. Any help would be appreciated.
