Hi,
I am interested in becoming an appraiser. I am trying to find a person willing to train me to satisfy the 1000hour requirement. Looking for an unpaid apprenticeship part time with flexible hours in the Houston, Texas area. Thank you

Best suggestion I have is to contact your local Appraisal Institute chapter, and network through it. You will find it hard in this environment though. 1) increased liability to the training appraiser. 2) time to train you takes away from actual time doing work 3) the appraiser is training his/her competition.

Best possibility would be working with a commercial appraiser.
