Neil Young to Trump in 9 posts. Closed to me.
Gee. A weird, petulent complaint from someone living in a state in which the Republican candidate received more votes than the Democrat candidate, and who received all of its electoral college votes because that's what the Contitution requires. Maybe your party should have fielded an electable candidate? Maybe your party should have worked a little harder at getting people motivated to vote? Maybe the Democrat leadership should have worked harder in the states having the number of electoral votes required? Even if the electoral votes of the Commonwealth were switched from Trump to Clinton, Trump would still have received sufficient number of electoral college votes to have been elected. That's math, not politics.I suppose in a country where the president only tries to represent a minority of the population, citizenship in only select states is not unreasonable.
The Richard E. Nixon bit is a throwback to Archie Bunker when he went on his political rants on All in the Family.Richard E. Nixon was never president, but I guess that wasn't the point. Maybe you were referring to the digital Nixon.
"Look out, Mama, there's a white boat coming up the river
With a big red beacon, and a flag, and a man on the rail
I think you'd better call John
Because it don't look like they're here to deliver the mail
And it's less than a mile away
I hope they didn't come to stay
It's got numbers on the side and a gun
and it's making big waves..."
He sent this song to Ronnie Van Zandt who wanted to put in on their next album but we know what happened.
