Has anyone else noticed the new licenses don't have all the zeros anymore?

Mine used to be 0003158

Now, on the license it's RD3158

Anyway, I've changed the way I write it to match the license to

St. Cert. Res. REA RD3158

Frank, is this now the correct way to write it???

A client called last week to say that HUD/FHA wouldn't accept my license number. I told them to remove the zeros and re-enter it. It worked.

I spoke to the DPRB about this and turns out they bought a new 'puter system that won't recognize the leading zeroes. They said the use of either number would be legally correct, but with the issuance of new licenses this year everyone's would look the same. As Mike pointed out, you might need to send HUD a copy of the new license so they can enter the abbreviated number into the system and I guess our clients will get used to it over time, just like us!

Wally,

It is up to you to send a copy of your new license to FHA. I posted the fax number in the FHA forum.
